Francisco Pereira Coutinho (Neto)

 

Born in Lisbon in 1992, Francisco Pereira Coutinho is a photographer and film director. A graduate of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, he was distinguished by the prestigious Parajanov-Vartanov Institute in Hollywood with the Best Student Director award. He was the recipient of several awards and official selections at renowned international festivals, such as Indie Shorts Fest (Los Angeles), DOC LA, New York State International Film Festival, Burgas International Film Festival, Chicago Arthouse Filmfest, among others.
From an early age, he demonstrated an interest in photography, where he also embraces his passion for analog film. He was awarded multiple times by Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and later became an invited member of the Jury for their annual photography competition. His work has been published in numerous publications such as Diário de Notícias, O Mundo da Fotografia Digital and Analog Drive magazine. He was part of the collective winter exhibition at Galeria São Mamede in 2021.
