Nuno Ferreira

 

Nuno Ferreira (b. 1994) is a painter, researcher, and educator based in Porto, Portugal. He holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree in Fine Art – Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto.

Since 2017, Ferreira has exhibited his work in Portugal and abroad, and was awarded first prize in Painting at the 2024 Aveiro Jovem Criador competition.

Alongside his artistic practice, he has been producing critical texts and exhibition materials since 2021, collaborating with artists and institutions. His research engages with themes such as authorship, identity, and human experience, with contributions to national and international conferences and publications, including jOCEP, the Heal the Landscape symposium, and the Arts, Linguistics, Literature and Language Research Journal.

Ferreira’s main research interests focus on human experience and project methodology within experimentally enriched artistic environments, spanning from the initial stages of conception to the post-practice archiving of daily life.
