Luísa Saldanha
Luísa Saldanha (Lisbon, 1999) is a visual artist whose practice is primarily rooted in painting, while also engaging with multidisciplinary approaches. She completed a BA in Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon, in 2021, and a MA in Fine Arts at LUCA School of Arts — Sint-Lukas Campus, Brussels (Belgium), in 2024.
Her artistic practice takes the form of a visual diary — an intimate space of reflection and emotional exploration, where creation serves a cathartic and therapeutic function. Luísa’s work translates lived experiences and introspection into a personal visual language composed by recurring figurative icons. These symbols form a distinctive vocabulary through which she explores both personal narratives and universal themes, fostering a sensitive dialogue between an inner and external world.
