Raúl Perez

Raúl Manuel Perez born in Lovelhe (Minho) the 26th of April, 1944.

 

1972     First individual exhibition: exhibiting thirty images of his “Diário Onírico” [Onirical Journal], at Galeria São Mamede (Lisboa).

1973     Joins the group Grupo Phases, Paris.

1974     Participates, as part of the group Phases, in an exhibition at the Van Esene Museum, (Brussels).

1975     Collective exhibition “O Cadáver Esquisito, sua exaltação”, Celebrating the 50th anniversery of the surrealista movement in Paris, at Galeria Ottolini, (Lisboa).

1976     Participates, as part of the group Phases, in a surrelist, international exhibition “Marvelous Freedom – Vigilance of  Desire”, organized by the north american surrealista magazine Arsenal, at Black Swan Gallery, (Chicago).

1977     Participates in Amsterdam, in an exhibition organized by the surrealista magazine Brumes Blondes,Invited by the editor and poet Laurens Van Krevel.
Participates in the first exhibition of the group Phases in Portugal, at Galeria  da Junta de Turismo da Costa do Sol,(Estoril); in Machado de Castro Museum, (Coimbra); and at Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes,(Lisboa).
Exhibits paintings and drawings at Galeria da Junta de Turismo da Costa do Sol, (Estoril).

1978     Participa na exposição Imagination – Internationale Ausstelung Bildnerischer Poesia, realizada no meuseu de Bochum, (RFA).
Participa na exposição de homenagem ao poeta António Maria Lisboa, organizada por Cruzeiro Seixas, na Galeria da Junta de Turismo da Costa do Sol, (Estoril).

1979     Exhibits 15 paintings at Galeria Dois, (Porto); and at Galeria Tempo, (Lisboa).

1980     Ilustration for the cover of the first edition of the dutch “O Banqueiro Anarquista”, by Fernando Pessoa, Meulenhoff publishings, (Amsterdam).
Participates in the exhibition Papeles Invertidos, at Sala de Arte e Cultura, (Santa Cruz Tenerife – Canary Islands).

1981     Exhibits paintings and drawings at Galeria da Junta de Turismo da Costa do Sol, (Estoril).
Participates at the icono-biographical exhibition Três Poetas do Surrealismo: António Maria Lisboa, Pedro Oom and Mario Henrique Leiria, organized by Mário Cesariny, at Biblioteca Nacional, (Lisboa).

Participates Caixa Geral de Depósitos exhibition of painting and sculpture heritage, as parto f the Ministery of finances bi-century celebrations.

1988     Exhibits paintings at Galeria São Mamede, (Lisboa).

1991     Exhibits paintings at Galeria Holly, (Lisboa).

1992     Exhibits paintings and drawings at Galeria Constância, (Contância).
Participates in na exhibition organized by the surrealists group of Madrid, Salamandra, at Estúdio Âncora, (Madrid).

1994     Exhibits paintings at Galeria Degrau, (Porto).
Participates in Primeira Exposição do Surrealismo ou Não, at Galeria São Mamede, (Lisboa).

2003     Participates with Cruzeiro Seixas at the exhibition “As mãos são a Paisagem que nos olha” at Galeria São Mamede.

2004     Participates in the exhibition La Belleza Convulsiva, Casa de la Província (Sevilha).
