Emília Nadal
Emília Nadal (Lisbon, 1938) studied painting at the Lisbon School of Fine Arts and later specialised in printmaking, holography and ceramics. Her work, social and political in character, spans painting, drawing, printmaking, objects, video performance and stage design, including sets for the Gulbenkian Ballet and the D. Maria II National Theatre. Her awards include the Anunciação and Lupi painting prize (1959). She is represented in the collections of CAM - Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Serralves Museum.
