Mikaela Linnea Abecassis began working full time as an artist in 2008, after a professional career in interior architecture, textile design and fashion. She studied Interior Design and Architecture at CAD in Brussels.

Between 1988 and 1992, she worked at Atelier B, in Paris and Lisbon, taking part in interior design projects for restaurants, in particular brasseries. She then joined CRAIT, part of the Repetto group, in Paris, where she developed clothing collections for the European market and took on responsibilities in the export area.

From 1993 to 2008, she worked as a fashion and textile designer at Valfranc, in Aix-en-Provence, creating clothing lines and overseeing the presentation of the collections. In parallel, between 1994 and 1997, she was the owner of the boutique Chic Sans Fric, in the same city.

From 2008 onwards, she concentrated her work on artistic creation. She pursued this activity in San Francisco, California, until 2012, a period during which she held solo exhibitions. In 2014, she settled in Lisbon, where she has continued her career.
